Small Farmers and Poverty Alleviation through organic agriculture

Worldwide small farmers are disadvantaged for many reasons.  Organic and/or Fairtrade certification is seen as an instrument to facilitate market access for small farmer groups.

One objective of the BioFach China Project is to support smallholder groups in getting better access to organic markets and thus generating higher incomes.

In China a number of governmental and non-governmental initiatives are supporting small farmers on their way to implement a certifiable organic production system.

The BioFach China Project has open this platform for a self-presentation of initiatives in order to support the exchange of experiences between different organizations and groups.
